Iris Organic Farm

It was the distant autumn of 1936 when a twenty-one year old boy, my father Rino Avanzini, arrived with a ramshackle bicycle, a bag with a bag inside, in the small dairy of Rivalta di Lesignano de' Bagni, a tiny but idyllic village in the Parma Apennines. They were the only objects he possessed together with so much hope and desire to do. Here the story of our family and our cheese farm began.
Since then, our family has been leading the farm in the wake of tradition and aspiring to innovation. We produce, mature and sell a Parmigiano-Reggiano produced entirely with milk from our organic farm with a unique and inimitable flavor, just as it once was: with passion and dedication!
