The organic: our choice
The Azienda Agricola Iris, unlike almost all the dairies in the area, has been using and processing since 1987, to produce the famous Parmigiano-Reggiano DOP, only the milk produced by its own farm.
Since the seventies the company has been equipped with modern and functional stables with a lane for the central feeding of animals, a lactoduct, so the step towards organic farming has been short and consequent.
We produce Parmigiano-Reggiano with milk exclusively from our stable.
We have undertaken the organic production of all fodder and cereals, eliminating any chemical fertilizer and herbicide. This choice allows us to obtain a superior quality cheese.
